What You Should Know About Dropshipping And Ebay

Maybe you've sold a few things on Ebay and made a few bucks. Maybe you thought to yourself "this might be a good way to make some extra money". That's what I thought. So I started Ebaying.

What I quickly found out is that selling physical stuff on Ebay (while fun) can get to be a real pain as your new business starts to sell more and more stuff. Experts call this "scaling your business" and what I found out is that selling stuff on Ebay doesn't "scale" well.

But I know some people were making lots of money on Ebay. How were they doing it?

That's when I learned about something called "drop shipping". Drop shipping is when a manufacturer sends their goods right to the person who bought it.

Let's say you're selling Telelvions on Ebay. Normally the manufacturer would send you 10 TVs. They sit in your garage and you sell them. UPS shows up at your house everyday and picks up a TV. But with Drop shipping that same manufacturer would send the TV right to the person who bought it. You don't need to mess around with storing a bunch of TVs in your garage. Even better you don't need to buy 10 of them hoping you'll sell them. Instead, as the orders come in you send them on to the manufacturer and get slice of the action.

For these reasons I love the idea of drop shipping, but there was a big problem. How do you find good companies that will drop ship for you? How do you find companies with great products nobody else even has?

I learned the hard way. I found a few good drop shippers and whole bunch of really bad ones.

What's a bad drop shipper? One that doesn't even ship the product or they do it so slowly your customer cancels their order and gives you bad feedback on Ebay. Some drop-shippers run out of products and don't tell you. Then you get caught in the middle between the customer and the company (not good).

Still other drop shippers have the exact same stuff everyone else is selling on Ebay so you can't really make any money.

With so many bad drop shippers out there I decided to launch this blog. I figured it is a good way to help you out in picking a good drop shipping company and staying away from bad ones.

Trust me. Once you find a good drop shipper making money on Ebay is easy. But if you pick a bad one you'll wish you never got into drop shipping because the little money you make just isn't worth the headaches.
